Cymatium parthenopeum has a widespread distribution and can be found in both the northern and southern hemispheres. They inhabit nearly all subtropical and warm temperate seas (Beechey, 2014). They can be found in both marine and brackish waters and at intertidal, reef, rocky or muddy habitats of exposed coasts and estuaries (ALA, 2014; Beechey, 2014).
